Photographs should be provocative and not tell you what you already know. It takes no great powers or magic to reproduce somebody’s face in a photograph. The magic is in seeing people in new ways. Notice the light and the dark on his hands with him in the middle, inferring that he is all that stands between good and evil. The “light” literally fights its way into his church. Well, all right his church is constructed from old rusted corrugated iron sheeting, I’ll give you that much.
